APHC-AJK holds prayer meeting in Islamabad

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a condolence and prayer meeting in Islamabad in which deep sorrow and grief were expressed over the deaths of Jawad Ali Khan, son of renowned Kashmiri freedom activist and senior journalist Shaukat Abuzar and Anzar Gul, son of renowned movement figure Ijaz Gul.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting was presided over by All Parties Hurriyat Conference Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt.

On the occasion, the participants termed the deaths of late Anzar Gul and Jawad Ali Khan a great tragedy for the Kashmiri people and said they were the hope of the young generation and their departure has created a void.

All the members present in the meeting prayed for forgiveness for the deceased, a high place in paradise and patience for the bereaved families.

The APHC-AJK leader expressed sympathy and solidarity with the aggrieved families of Shaukat Abuzar and Ijaz Gul and said they share equally in this hour of grief and sorrow.

The sacrifices of these families in the collective struggle of the Kashmiri people are unforgettable and will always be written in golden letters in the history of the Kashmir freedom movement, they added.

The meeting also reiterated the resolve that the struggle will be further strengthened to keep the mission of the martyrs and the deceased alive and the younger generation will be made aware that their sacrifices will not go waste.

The participants of the meeting finally prayed that Allah Almighty may grant the late Anzar Gul and Jawad Ali Khan a high place in paradise, and give courage to their parents and families to bear the irreparable losss.

Senior Hurriyat leaders Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, Ijaz Rahmani, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Zahid Ashraf, Abdul Majeed Mir, Zahoor Ahmed and others attended the meeting.
