Yashwant Sinha-led delegation meets Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar

Srinagar: A delegation led by former Indian minister and politician Yashwant Sinha met senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his residence in Srinagar to discuss the prevailing situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation, which included Air Vice Marshal Kapil Kak (Retd), journalist Bharat Bhushan, and peace activist Sushoba Barve, held a detailed discussion with the Mirwaiz for nearly an hour. The talks focused on the political, social, and economic issues confronting IIOJK, with both sides stressing the need for sustained dialogue to address the concerns of the people of the occupied territory.

Earlier, the Yashwant Sinha-led delegation met with various political representatives and groups, including IIOJK’s Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, as part of their visit to the territory. The team is scheduled to return to New Delhi tomorrow.
