IIOJK admin faces Rs 4,468 Crore in pending retirement liabilities
Jammu: The Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir administration is facing outstanding liabilities amounting to Rs 4,468 crore towards retired employees, covering dues under the General Provident Fund (GPF), gratuity, commutation, and leave salary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the unpaid liabilities include Rs 2,390 crore under GPF, Rs 1,537 crore under gratuity, Rs 332 crore under commutation, and Rs 209 crore under leave salary. These pending dues remain to be cleared in various treasuries across the territory.
To address the issue two senior officers, one each in Srinagar and Jammu, have been designated to identify and recommend cases requiring immediate attention. These include cases related to serious health conditions, marriages, children’s tuition fees, and pilgrimage expenses.
