Indian forces launch search operation in Jammu; CASOs, frisking continue across IIOJK

Jammu: Indian forces’ personnel have launched a search operation in the forest area of Sidhra in Jammu district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops were deployed in the forest belt early in the day to carry out area domination and search operations under the pretext of heightened security ahead of India’s Republic Day celebrations.
The troops have cordoned off the forest area and thorough searches are being conducted while maintaining close surveillance. Additional checkpoints have established, and patrolling intensified in adjoining areas.
Indian officials claimed the operation is aimed at ensuring security and preventing any untoward incident in view of the upcoming event.
The operation is continuing, and further details are awaited.
Meanwhile, Indian forces’ personnel continued cordon and search operations and frisking in various areas of Kathua, Samba, Kulgam, and Udhampur districts, as well as along the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
