NIA conducts raids in Poonch as crackdown continues in IIOJK

Srinagar: Indian authorities have intensified their crackdown in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as the National Investigation Agency conducted raids at multiple locations in Poonch district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, NIA teams carried out searches in Mohalla Khorinar and Hari-Surankote areas of the border district as part of their ongoing crackdown.

Indian officials claimed that a case relates to the alleged recovery of arms and ammunition, including a pistol and two grenades, from two persons in the district in 2024.

The NIA had earlier filed a charge sheet in April last year against Abdul Aziz and Munawar Hussain.

Such raids and investigations have become a routine tool used by Indian agencies to justify continued repression and surveillance in the occupied territory, where Kashmiris frequently complain of harassment and intimidation during search operations.
