Mirwaiz condoles demise of former Chief Engineer Ghulam Mustafa Asmi
Srinagar: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep grief over the demise of Ghulam Mustafa Asmi, former Chief Engineer, a resident of Qamarwari. He had close relations with the Mirwaiz family.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued in Srinagar, the Mirwaiz remembered Asmi as a dignified and upright individual, saying he earned respect for his professional integrity and personal conduct.
“His passing is a personal loss,” the Mirwaiz said, recalling the longstanding bond between the two families.
The funeral of the deceased was led by the Mirwaiz at Anjum Masjid Qamarwari, where a large number of relatives and friends participated.
The Mirwaiz prayed for the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, especially his sons Tahir Asmi, Mukeem Asmi, Rafi Asmi, and Nissar Asmi.
