Pakistan always ready to defend its security, sovereignty: Khawaja Asif
Islamabad: Federal Defense Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Muhammad Asif has strongly criticized the recent statements of his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh, saying that it is unthinkable to have the illusion of the possibility of a war between two nuclear states and its consequences can be extremely dire.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif in a statement on social media X, addressing Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, warned that any kind of war between two nuclear powers can prove to be disastrous. He said history is witness that the consequences of miscalculations are always serious.
Responding to Indian threats, he clarified that the consequences of any misunderstanding or miscalculation are always serious. He said India is opening an external front to divert attention from its internal weaknesses but Pakistan is always ready to defend its security and sovereignty. India should not forget the operation Bunyanum Marsoos and if such an attempt is made again, our response will be more powerful and decisive than ever, he remarked.
Khawaja Asif said even before the completion of a year of the Pahalgam false flag operation, there has been an increase in provocations by India. He said India’s narrative on the Pahalgam incident at the global level has failed and has exposed New Delhi’s method of resorting to fabricated crises for its survival.
The Federal Minister further said Pakistan supports peace and stability in the region, but our resolve in defending the country’s sovereignty is unwavering. He said, Pakistan’s preparedness is complete and our response will be immediate, measured and decisive.
Khawaja Asif advised Rajnath Singh that India should focus on its strategic and diplomatic failures and growing anxiety within the country instead of threatening others.
