According to Kashmir Media Service, A handle @FrontalForce posted on X: “Pakistan national refinery in Balochistan was blown up by unidentified gunmen”, which was amplified by several Indian social media accounts to fuel disinformation.

No refinery was attacked or blown up in Balochistan. The actual incident on Wednesday involved an attack by unidentified gunmen on a mining project in southwestern Balochistan. Local authorities said at least nine employees, including two security guards, were killed in the attack on the mining site.

Indian propaganda accounts falsely labeled the mining project as a “national refinery” and claimed it was “blown up”, despite no reports of any refinery in the area or of an explosion destroying infrastructure.

The Balochistan government has reiterated that hostile foreign elements, particularly from India, back terrorism in the province to sabotage peace and CPEC-related development. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif have stated that attackers enjoy links to India.
