Muslims help perform last rites of elderly Kashmiri Pandit in Pulwama

Srinagar : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in a display of communal harmony, Muslim residents of Pinglena village in Pulwama district helped perform the last rites of 90-year-old Kashmiri Pandit Shaam Lal Panditha, who passed away the other day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, villagers arranged the funeral and cremation, ensuring the grieving family faced no difficulty.
Residents called it a reflection of decades-old bonds of brotherhood.
“Standing by his family was our moral duty,” said neighbour Ghulam Rasool Khan. Pandit community members expressed gratitude, saying the gesture brought comfort and showed Kashmir’s social fabric remains intact.
