BJP leader found involved in sexual assault of minor in Baramulla
Srinagar: A leader of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has been found involved in sexually assaulting a minor girl in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident came to light after a 17-year-old girl filed a complaint of sexual assault against the accused.
Officials identified the culprit as BJP leader Riyaz Ahmad Shaikh, a resident of Nowshera in Boniyar Tehsil. Shaikh is associated with the BJP.
Riyaz was arrested on Wednesday following the complaint.
