India: Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai appointed new military advisor to NSC Secretariat

New Delhi: In India, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai has been appointed as the new military advisor to the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS).
According to Kashmir Media Service, this is the first time that a serving three-star general has been appointed to this post, while earlier this post was given only to retired officers.
Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai was previously serving as the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) of the Indian Army.
During Operation Sindoor, he played the role of Director General Military Operations (DGMO).
He is holding this post in the secretariat working under the leadership of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval
