Three inmates escape from Juvenile Observation Home in Jammu

Jammu: Three inmates escaped from a Juvenile Observation Home in the R.S. Pura area of Jammu district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian media reported.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the escapees include two Pakistani nationals identified as Ahsan Anwar, son of Mohammad Anwar, a resident of Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Pakistan; and Mohammad Sanaullah, son of Mohammad Zaffer, a resident of Basti Jawewala, Tehsil Dinpur, District Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Pakistan, Indian police claimed. The third inmate, Karanjit Singh alias Gugga, son of Arjun Singh, is said to be a resident of Dablehar in R.S. Pura, Jammu.
The police further claimed that the three inmates escaped after allegedly assaulting police personnel on guard duty on Monday evening. Two policemen — SPO Vinay Kumar and Head Constable Parveen Kumar — were injured in the incident and shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Indian forces have launched a manhunt to trace the escaped inmates. According to reports, the two Pakistani juveniles had inadvertently crossed into India and were not linked to any militancy-related activities.
Police claimes said that CCTV footage of the incident has been accessed, which allegedly shows the inmates holding a pistol and fleeing immediately after the assault. However, it remains unclear how they managed to procure the weapon or whether it belonged to Indian police personnel.
A search operation is underway to track down the escapees. Security has been tightened across Jammu and adjoining areas, with checkpoints strengthened.
