Three minor girls missing in Islamabad, IIOJK

Srinagar: A wave of concern, anxiety, and anger has swept through the Nunwani Brakpora area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir after three minor girls mysteriously went missing since yesterday evening.

According to Kashmir Media Service, two of the missing girls belong to the Warwan area and had recently moved to Nunwani Brakpora with their families.

Family members said the three girls returned home after attending school as usual and later went to a religious learning centre (Darsgah) for their studies. After returning from the Darsgah, they left for a nearby shop to purchase some food items. However, they have not been seen since, and no trace of them has been found. Till the last reports were received, the whereabouts of the girls remained unknown.

The disappearance of the girls has caused widespread concern among local residents. Demanding that efforts be intensified to trace and recover the girls at the earliest, residents also staged a brief protest on the Islamabad–Aishmuqam road.

The Indian army and police establishment under the BJP regime are reported to be behind such disappearances in the territory.
