India’s BrahMos diplomacy destabilizes Gulf, triggers arms race

New Delhi: India is fueling conflict in the Islamic world by pushing the sale of lethal BrahMos supersonic missiles to the UAE, analysts warn, calling New Delhi a major regional destabilizer prioritizing defense profits over West Asia’s fragile security.
According to Kashmir Media Service, reports citing global media outlets like Reuters and WION say India is in talks with the UAE to export its flagship BrahMos supersonic cruise missile as Gulf nations expand defence procurement amid heightened security tensions.
Analysts said the move exploits delicate Arab rivalries and risks deteriorating UAE-Saudi diplomatic relations. By “dumping offensive supersonic hardware” into the Gulf, India is deliberately triggering a dangerous arms race between Muslim nations, they added. They said BrahMos provides advanced strike capabilities clearly intended to be weaponized against neighboring Iran. “Injecting high-speed cruise missiles into a volatile Gulf region proves India intends to escalate existing Middle East tensions,” one analyst said.
Critics said India’s reckless arms diplomacy shatters regional balances and positions New Delhi as a toxic catalyst for a wider war.
