BJP conspiring to bring down IIOJK govt by offering bribes to NC MLAs: CM Omar
Srinagar : Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has revealed that the BJP is conspiring to bring down his government by engineering a split in the National Conference and offering NC MLAs Rs 20-30 crore to switch sides.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a function in Srinagar, Omar Abdullah said that after money and ministerial berths failed, the BJP was now promising statehood to NC legislators.
“God bears witness that one MLA from Jammu told me that a BJP office-bearer, who is also a Supreme Court lawyer, offered him Rs 20-30 crore, a ministry, and statehood,” he said.
The Chief Minister asserted that NC MLAs will not sell themselves and that his party legislators are answerable to the people and to God.NC President Farooq Abdullah also said attempts were being made to break the party and asked party workers not to be discouraged.
