Gilgit: Important meetings of APHC-AJK delegation
Discussion regarding Pakistan Accession Resolution Day rally on July 19

Gilgit,: A high-level delegation led by Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, met with Maulana Attaullah Shahab, former Ameer and current Patron-in-Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the latest situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Kashmir freedom movement, Indian atrocities on Kashmiris and the central rally and other events to be held in Gilgit on July 19 to mark the Pakistan Accession Resolution Day.
The delegation also invited Maulana Attaullah Shahab to participate in the main programme of July 19.
On this occasion, Ghulam Muhammad Safi said July 19 is an important and decisive day in the history of the Kashmiri people and a symbol of the historical, political and ideological connection of the Kashmiri people with Pakistan.
He said that the purpose of the rally held on this day is to pay tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir, reiterate our unwavering support for the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination and draw the attention of the international community towards a just and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute.
Maulana Attaullah Shahab expressed complete solidarity with the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for freedom and assured full support for settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute. He also assured full participation in the main rally on July 19.
Meanwhile, the Hurriyat delegation met the Ameer of the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaat Gilgit-Baltistan, Maulana Qazi Nisar Ahmed, at Jamia Islamia Nusrat-ul-Islam in Gilgit.
The meeting discussed in detail the unity of Jammu and Kashmir, the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people and the importance and usefulness of accession to Pakistan.
On this occasion, Maulana Qazi Nisar Ahmed said the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaat fully supports the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for freedom. He said, “We are advocates for the unity of Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and fully support the principled position of the Hurriyat Conference and the struggle of the Kashmiri people.
The delegation included APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Syed Ijaz Rahmani, Raja Khadim Hussain, Zahid Safi, Sheikh Abdul Majid and Zahid Ashraf.
