Northeast students allege biased police action at Andhra Pradesh nursing school

Andhra Pradesh: A scuffle broke out at the S.K. School of Nursing after allegations of stolen mobile phones belonging to Northeast students led to a confrontation with local girl students.
According to KashmirMediaService, tensions escalated following the allegations, resulting in a clash between the two groups on campus.
More concerning, Northeast students have alleged that the police failed to remain neutral during the incident, leaving them feeling “cornered and vulnerable.”
Student bodies and rights groups have demanded a fair and impartial investigation into both the theft allegations and the police conduct during the clash.
“We demand impartial policing and equal protection for all students. No one should face discrimination because of their identity or place of origin,” a statement said.
