Indian CEC will have to go now: Abhijit Deepke

New Delhi: Founder of youth organization, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Abhijit Deepke, reiterating his demand for resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, wrote on his Instagram handle, “Gyanu has to go.”

According to Kashmir Media Service, he reiterated his demand after the former Kerala Chief Secretary revealed that Kumar had offered him to be the BJP’s candidate in the general elections.

A report has said, “Former Kerala Chief Secretary Gigi Thomas has claimed that while travelling on the same flight in 2016, Gyanesh Kumar asked him if he was interested in becoming a candidate for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.”

Kumar, meanwhile, also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and openly asked me if I was interested in contesting the 2019 general elections from Pathanam Thana as a BJP candidate. “He was trying hard to persuade me, but I refused,” he added.

While sharing the report on Instagram, Deepke wrote, “Gianu will have to go now.”
