BJP’s double standards exposed by CM Omar: NC

Srinagar: Accusing the BJP of double standards and baseless propaganda against the National Conference government, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Showkat Mir said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had exposed the BJP in the Legislative Assembly.
According to Kashmir Media Service, interacting with public delegations, party functionaries and workers at the party headquarters in Srinagar on Saturday, Mir accused the BJP and its supporters of resorting to “baseless allegations” and “negative propaganda” against the National Conference government.
He described the opposition campaign as an attempt to divert public attention from real issues concerning the people. He claimed that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had recently highlighted what he termed the BJP’s “double standards” in the Legislative Assembly and alleged that the Lieutenant Governor’s office was being used to obstruct the elected government’s functioning.
He said the National Conference would continue to advocate what he described as the rights, identity, dignity and interests of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and work for addressing their grievances.
