Lucknow: A Dalit girl was thrown into a hot cauldron for resisting molestation attempts by three upper class Hindus in Uttar Pradesh state of India.
According Kashmir Media Service, the girl working in a factory in Binauli, a small town in Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh was thrown into a hot cauldron for resisting molestation attempts by three individuals.
The girl, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, worked at the factory owned by Pramod. Her brother has recently filed a complaint at Binauli police station stating that factory owner Pramod and Raju, and Sandeep molested and misbehaved with his sister while she was working at the cauldron.
When the girl protested, the three persons threw her into the hot cauldron, using abusive language against her, before fleeing the scene, the brother’s complaint said, cited by media reports.
The victim, now undergoing treatment at a hospital in New Delhi, suffered serious burn injuries.
Inspector M.P. Singh from Binauli police station said that on the complaint of her brother, police have registered a case against accused under sections 354, 504, and 307 of the IPC, along with the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act
