IIOJK public transport to observe two-day strike from tomorrow
Srinagar: All the passenger vehicles in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir will observe a two-day strike on January 9 and January 10 against the new hit-and-run law passed by the Indian government.
Chairman of All Kashmir Transporters Confederation, Mohammad Shafi Mir talking to the media in Srinagar said the strike has been called by transporters in Maharashtra, New Delhi and several other states of India to which the Kashmir-based transporters’ confederation has mutually decided to extend its cooperation.
“All types of passenger vehicles will observe the strike on January 9 and January 10”, Mohammad Shafi Mir said.
The transporters have been demanding the rollback of penal provisions introduced by the Indian government regarding hit-and-run cases.
