Modi urges Indians to join idol-installation ceremony at Ram Temple on Jan 22
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party-led Hindutva government in India is going to install idol at Ram Temple at the site of demolished Babri Masjid at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, India, on January 22, 2024 .
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will himself inaugurate the event. Not only this, he has also appealed to the Indian citizens to participate in the function.
While addressing the opening ceremony of Ayodhya Airport on 30 December 2023, Modi urged people to join him in the inauguration of Ram Temple at Ayodhya on 22 Jan 2024 “to celebrate it like Diwali Festival by lighting candles, lighting their homes across India”.
Communist Party of India-Marxist leader Sitaram Yechury while rejecting the invitation has criticized Modi for forgetting the sentiments of millions of Indian Muslims by arranging the so-called inauguration ceremony of installing the idol at the temple built on the site of Babri Masjid.
The temple has been constructed at the site of Babri Masjid which was destroyed by Hindu extremists on December 6, 1992.
