4 policemen killed in road accident in Punjab, India
Hoshiarpur: Four policemen including Assistant Sub-inspector and senior constable were killed and 13 others were injured in a road accident in Punjab state of India.
The policemen were killed and over a dozen were injured after a Punjab Police bus in which they were travelling in met with an accident in Mukerian area of the state.
The bus, carrying 30 policemen, was going from the Punjab Armed Police institution in Jalandhar to Gurdaspur when the accident took place in Mukerian, 54 km from Hoshiarpur.
Hoshiarpur Senior Superintendent of Police Surendra Lamba, who visited the accident site, the deceased have been identified as Assistant Sub-inspector Hardev Singh, senior constable Gurpreet Singh, who was the bus driver, and woman constable Shalu Rana.
