Two persons killed in disturbed Chhattisgarh state, Inida
Raipur: Two individuals have been reported killed in the strife-torn state of Chhattisgarh, India.
The body of Podiyam Joga was discovered near the Gorkha area under the jurisdiction of the Bhejji police station. A detailed handwritten note found near the deceased labeled him as an informer for the police.
In another incident of a similar nature, Mohammad Iqbal, a plumber by profession associated with the Jal Jeevan Mission project, was attacked and killed by unknown assailants in a weekly market in Orchha.
Furthermore, Maoists abducted two laborers, a contractor, and a JCB machine operator from a construction site under the Jagargunda police station limits of Sukma. The abduction took place when armed cadres of the independence guerrillas stormed the construction site near Singaram village, taking the laborers and the JCB machine with them.
Subsequently, the family members of the abducted individuals appealed to the Maoists for their release. It has been later reported that the Maoists released all the abducted persons after imposing certain conditions.
Meanwhile, two Indian army personnel sustained critical injuries in an explosion in Boudh, Odisha. They were promptly transported to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir.
