10 workers abducted in Arunachal Pradesh
Itanagar: At least 10 people working at the 14-number coal mine were abducted on Sunday by suspected Ulfa-I cadres in Arunachal Pradesh state of India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a group comprising seven members, abducted the workers and transported them in a dumper to Old Longtoi, a remote area in Finboro of Changlang district of the state.
Among those abducted is one individual identified as Gyan Thapa.
The motive behind the abduction remains unclear. “Tirap, Longding, and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh is mostly controlled by rebels who demand independence.
Indian forces have initiated a massive search operation to locate the abducted workers. KMS-8R
