India banned 9 pro-freedom organizations in IIOJK
Srinagar: Over the past five years, the Indian government has imposed bans on nine pro-freedom organizations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the banned organizations include Jamaat-e-Islami, Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Jammu & Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP), Muslim League, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH), Muslim Conference, Jammu & Kashmir National Front, Jammu & Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), and Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL).
The bans were enforced due to the organizations’ involvement in pro-freedom activities within the occupied territory.
