Amit Shah’s convoy hit by speeding car, CRPF man injured: Indian media
New Delhi: A speeding car rammed into Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s convoy in New Delhi last week in which a Central Reserve Police Force constable was badly injured, Indian media reported.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian security agencies went into a tizzy after the speeding car rammed the cavalcade of Amit Shah on Kemal Ataturk Marg last week. A 33-year-old CRPF constable identified as Kashi Singh who was standing between two escort vehicles was severely injured.
According to police, the errant driver, identified as 42-year-old Anurag Dong from Gurgaon, was apprehended on the spot and jointly interrogated by Intelligence Bureau and Special Cell.
As per a Times Of India report, the car was being driven in one of the most negligent ways and it first hit one of the security vehicles which hit Kashi Singh resulting him in being squeezed in between two vehicles.
According to the FIR, the car first rammed into one of the escort vehicles, which subsequently hit the constable, and he got squeezed between two cavalcade cars.
According to an Indian news report, the incident has sparked massive speculations over whether the incident was a clear case of rash driving or if there was any other motive behind it. It added, “The investigation is underway in full swing. Police are leaving no suspected theories untouched in a bid to ascertain and reconfirm the real cause of the accident”.
