4 tourists killed, 2 missing as passenger vehicle rolls down into river in Sonamarg
Srinagar: Four persons died while two others are missing after a passenger vehicle rolled down into Sindh river in the Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, a passenger vehicle with nine persons on board skidded off the road and fell into the fast-moving stream at Gagangir in Sonamarg, the official said.
“Three persons were rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the official said, adding that four bodies have been retrieved while the search is going on for the remaining two persons.
“All the persons aboard the vehicle except for the driver were tourists,” the official stated.
