Indian national level hockey player commits suicide
Patiala: A 21-year-old national level hockey player, Sumandeep Kaur, has reportedly committed suicide by jumping into the Bhakra Canal, Punjab.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Jaspal Singh told the police that his daughter, Sumandeep, was studying MA in Punjab University. She was distressed by the ill-treatment meted out to her by her brother, Vikramjit Singh, and his wife Pinky.
A case has been registered against the brother and sister-in-law on the father’s complaint.
