Poonch attack: CASO by Indian forces enters eighth day today
Jammu: The Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), launched by Indian forces after an attack on Indian Air Force (IAF) vehicles at Shashidhar in Poonch on May 4, entered its eighth consecutive day, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, five Indian army personnel were injured after unknown armed men opened fire on two vehicles, including one belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF), in Shashidhar, Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, on May 4.
Meanwhile, police continued questioning from those detained after this attack. Officials said that joint teams of Indian army and police continued CASO in villages of the area, including Shaistar, Danna, Jarran Wali Gali, Gursai Top and Sheindra.
They said, cordon and search operation in these areas was still in place and searches were going on, especially in deep forested areas.
