Continued illegal house detention of Mirwaiz in IIOJK denounced
Srinagar: Anjuman Auqaf of Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, has denounced the continued illegal house detention of APHC senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Anjuman Auqaf of the Jamia Masjid in a statement in Srinagar expressed deep regret that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been prevented from performing the religious duty of delivering the Friday sermon and conducting prayers at Jama Masjid Srinagar since 3rd May and for the 4th consecutive Friday.
It said this attitude of the authorities deeply hurts the religious sentiments of thousands of people who come to benefit from sermons of the Mirwaiz.
The Anjuman urged the administration to lift the restrictions on Mirwaiz and allow to propagate religious teachings and responsibilities.
