Modi govt’s arrogance shattered by public in LS polls: Akhilesh Yadav
New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has hit out at the Modi government, asserting the public has shattered its arrogance and prevented democracy from turning into dictatorship.
According to Kashmir Media Service, participating in the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Indian president’s address in Lok Sabha, Akhilesh said that the election results were a moral victory and a message of responsibility for the INDIA bloc.
He remarked that the country gained independence from British colonialism on August 15, 1947, and on June 4, 2024, it gained freedom from communal politics, which has been defeated forever. He thanked the people for voting to prevent democracy from turning into dictatorship.
Referring to the election result in Ayodhya where the SP defeated the BJP, Akhilesh said that those who claimed to have brought Ram are now helpless and looking for support.
Making a reference to Modi’s constituency, Varanasi, Akhilesh Yadav mentioned the Prime Minister’s Model Village and said that today no one even knows its name, and the condition of this village is deteriorating. He questioned what the condition of other model villages would be if the model village in the PM’s constituency is in such a state.
He also termed the Modi government’s Agniveer system as unjust and said that it would be abolished once the INDIA group comes to power.
Meanwhile, speaking on the paper leaks issue, Akhilesh Yadav said that in Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP is in power, every exam paper is being leaked, and a mafia has emerged. “Why are paper leaks happening? The truth is that this is being done by the government so that it doesn’t have to give jobs to youth,” he said.
