Bangladeshi youth shot by BSF in Chuadanga

Chuadanga:A Bangladeshi youth was shot and wounded by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the Thakurpur border in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district early Thursday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the injured was identified as Azmul Hossain, 29, of Thakurpur village in Damurhuda Upazila.

According to locals, members of 82-BSF’s Maluapara camp opened fire on them, when Azmul Hossain along with 5-6 other people was attempting to cross the border at around 5am on Thursday.

Azmul Hossain suffered bullet injuries on his legs but his associates were able to flee the spot.

The injured youth was admitted to Shaktinagar District Hospital in India where he is undergoing treatment.
