Retired employees of IIOJK cement corporation cry out for justice

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the plight of over 500 retired employees of the Jammu and Kashmir Cements Ltd Corporation continues unabated, as they are denied their rightful salaries and retirement benefits despite a decade of appeals, highlighting the authorities’ indifference.

According to Kashmir Media Service, these retired employees have been deprived of salaries and pensionary benefits partially from 2012 to 2017, and completely from 2018 onwards.

Despite persistent efforts to seek redressal through various avenues, their appeals have consistently fallen on deaf ears under the occupation authorities.

The J&K Cement Retired Employees Welfare Association emphasized the severe financial hardships endured by the retirees, with some families teetering on the edge of starvation, and several retirees passing away with the hope of someday receiving justice.
