‘Kashmiris have long struggle for freedom from Indian rule’
Islamabad: An awareness session was organized regarding the Kashmir dispute and Indian atrocities on freedom-loving Kashmiris organized by Youth Forum for Kashmir, India Study Center and Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the head of India Study Center (ISC), Dr Khurram Abbas, while talking about the steps taken by Pakistan at the international level regarding Kashmir, said Pakistan is representing Kashmiris at every international forum. He said there is a long struggle of Kashmiris for freedom from Indian rule, which is also recognized at the international level in the form of various reports.
The Executive Director of Youth Forum for Kashmir, Zaman Bajwa, paying tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir, said their sacrifices will not go waste and freedom will be the destiny of Kashmiris very soon as their morale is high and they are continuing the freedom struggle with pride and courage.
The ISS Research Fellow, Miss Mehwish Hafeez, spoke on the Indian move to end the special status of occupied Kashmir on August 5, 2019 and its impact on the Kashmir conflict.
Ambassador Khalid Mehmood, Chairman, Board of Governors, said India is propagating that Kashmir is its internal matter, but the United Nations resolutions negate this false narrative of India.
He said Kashmir is still on the agenda of the United Nations, adding that after the illegal Indian actions of 2019, a meeting was also called in the United Nations on the Kashmir dispute and its situation and the matter was discussed.
The awareness session was attended by youth from various universities who came under the internship programme of Youth Forum for Kashmir.
