Karbala martyrs inspire resistance against oppression: Mirwaiz, others
Srinagar: Senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyat leader and organizations have paid glowing tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and other martyrs of Karbala, stating that their sacrifice showed that truth always prevails.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement in Srinagar, paid glorious tribute to the martyrs of Karbala, especially Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He said that Hazrat Imam Hussain’s (RA) historic sacrifices, along with his brave associates, would continue to guide humanity till the end. By refusing to surrender to tyrants, Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) set an example that will inspire those striving for truth until the Day of Judgement.
Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom also paid tributes to the martyrs of Karbala, stating that the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his devoted companions would remain alive forever. The struggle and sacrifices of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions have taught us to stand firm against injustice, tyranny, and oppression.
Tehreek Wahdat-e-Islami’s jailed leader, Fayaz Hussain Jafri, and Parwan-e-Wilayat, Syed Sibt Shabbir Qumm, in their joint statement, said that oppressive forces of the time are perpetrating cruelty against Muslims worldwide, particularly in Kashmir and Palestine.
The modern-day Yazidis, namely India’s Hindu nationalist regime and Israel’s Zionist government, they added, seek to eradicate Muslims and suppress opposition. However, those who dare to challenge them are, in fact, following the noble path of Hussain. Kashmiri Muslims, inspired by Hussain’s courage, remain resolute in their struggle against Indian tyranny, determined to fulfill the mission of their martyrs. Ultimately, Indian and Israeli tyrants will face defeat, the statement concluded.
