Two Indian army troops injured in Doda attack

Jammu,: Two Indian army personnel were injured in an attack in Doda district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops were injured when an Indian army party was attacked during a violent cordon and search operation in the Kastigarh area of the district.

During initial firefight, two army troops were injured and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, police officials said. The operation is ongoing, with further details awaited.

Pertinently, massive cordon and search operations and house raids were launched last month by the Indian army, paramilitary forces, Special Operation Group, and Village Defence Guards (VDGs) in various villages, towns and areas of Jammu, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Kathua, Samba and Reasi districts.

Meanwhile, during a large-scale crackdown involving house raids, Indian forces’ personnel have arrested a dozen youth in different areas of Doda district. According to a police statement, more arrests are likely to follow.
