Massive protests erupt in Pulwama against custodial killing of youth
Srinagar: People staged a massive protest against custodial killing of a youth in Pulwama district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces’ personnel fired teargas and bullets to disperse the protesters in Awantipora area of the district, resulting in injuries to many. The protest is ongoing on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
The youth, identified as Abid Manzoor, was arrested by the notorious Special Operation Group some three days back and subsequently killed at an interrogation center. His tortured body was recovered from the Jehlum River, today.
