Two Indian police personnel killed in an IED blast in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Two Indian police personnel were killed and four were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in disturbed Chhattisgarh state of India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Chief Constable of the State Task Force, Bharat Lal Sahu and Constable Sater Singh were killed and Purushottam Nag, Komal Yadav, Siyaram Sori and Sanjay Kumar were critically injured in the blast in Mandimarka-Tarrem police station in Bijapur district of the state.

The Indian forces’ personnel, including State Task Force (STF), District Reserve Group (DRG), Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF were returning from an anti-Naxal operation when the pipe bomb exploded.

Earlier, last month, in a similar incident, two Indian Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) 201 battalion of the CRPF personnel were killed in an IED blast in the Sukma district.
