One Indian army soldier killed, many including Major injured in Kupwara attack
Srinagar: One Indian soldier was killed and many including an Indian army Major were injured in an attack in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the attack was carried out on a post of Indian army in Kamkari, Macchal area of the district.
Indian army officials have admitted that five army personnel, including a Major rank officer, were injured; one of them later succumbed to his injuries.
The officials said that a youth was also martyred in the incident.
Multiple teams of the Indian army were rushed to the site. The operation is still under progress.
This is the third such incident in the territory in the past week.
