7-yearr-old boy drowns in pond after heavy rainfall in Delhi
New Delhi: A seven-year-old boy drowned in a pond that formed due to heavy rains in a DDA park in the Rohini area of Indian capital, local police reported said.
According to Kashmir Media Service. the incident took place in Sector-20, Rohini, within the Aman Vihar police jurisdiction. Upon receiving the information, police quickly arrived at the scene and took the child to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The preliminary investigations revealed that the child drowned in a pond that had formed in the park due to rainwater accumulation.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem, and necessary legal action has been initiated.
