Driver killed, girl injured as vehicle plunges into gorge in Bandipora
Srinagar: A driver died and a girl was injured after the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in the Panar village of Bandipora district in occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, an official said that the accident occurred in Panar when the vehicle rolled down into a gorge, resulting in severe injuries to the driver and the girl.
The driver, identified as Showkat Ahmad Khan of Turkpora, was declared dead on arrival at District Hospital, Bandipora, while the girl, identified as Umiya Shahnaz of Quilmuqam, sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
