PeH to organise public rally in Muzaffarabad on Ali Gilani’s martyrdom day
Muzaffarabad: Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali has announced that a public rally will be held in Muzaffarabad to pay tribute to veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani on his 4th martyrdom day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani breathed his last at his Hyderpora residence in Srinagar on September 01 in 2021 where he had been kept under house arrest by the Indian authorities for over a decade.
Announcing the holding of a rally in Muzaffarabad on September 1 at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk, he said that contacts have been started with various political and religious parties, Kashmiri refugees, civil society and businessmen to make it a historic event.
He said they will continue the mission started by the martyred leader who raised the uprising and atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir by India.
He said that Shaheed Syed Ali Gilani spent 16 years of his life in Indian jails and the last 11 years under house arrest.
Uzair Ahmed Ghazali further said that the brutal Indian government failed to break the determination of the Kashmiri leader despite all tactics and conspiracies.
