Another Indian trooper dies of heart attack in IIOJK,experts cite stress and trauma
Srinagar: An Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man died after complaining of chest pain in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the CRPF man complained of unease in the chest and then collapsed in the District Police Lines in Handwara area of the district.
The official said that the CRPF man was immediately taken to the District Hospital Handwara, from where he was later referred to Soura hospital for advanced treatment, but he succumbed. The CRPF man was identified as Dharmendra Singh (42). The police have taken up the investigation, the official added.
Health experts link the increased incidents of deaths among Indian troops due to heart failure and related health issues in occupied Jammu and Kashmir highlight the psychological and physical toll of serving in a territory marked by conflict and unrest. The stress and pressure of being deployed in a sensitive and volatile area, combined with the guilt and trauma of perpetrating human rights violations, are the contributing factors to the increasing number of heart-related health issues among Indian forces, they added.
