Mushaal urges international community to address humanitarian crisis in IIOJK

Islamabad: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of the incarcerated JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik, has called on the international community to address the severe humanitarian crisis in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, as Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation, Mushaal recently inaugurated a photo exhibition at the Rawalpindi Arts Council, marking the 3rd martyrdom anniversary of Syed Ali Gilani, the icon of Kashmiris’ resistance movement against Indian occupation.

In her speech, Mushaal praised Syed Ali Gilani as a relentless advocate for Kashmir’s freedom, describing him as a beacon of hope for Kashmiri freedom leaders and activists.

She said that the the photo exhibition, highlighting Indian atrocities in IIOJK, woul help expose the oppressive actions of Indian authorities. Mushaal emphasized that the powerful images—showing pellet gun victims, half-widows, and orphaned children—reveal the harsh realities faced by Kashmiris under Indian occupation.

Mushaal criticized the international community and human rights organizations for their lack of response to the severe state terrorism in IIOJK. She urged global powers to recognize the suffering of the Kashmiri people and take decisive action to address these injustices, seeking a lasting and durable solution to the Kashmir dispute.
