Srinagar: Illegally detained APHC leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah has strongly condemned India’s ongoing violations of international laws in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail said that the Modi regime is blatantly disregarding international principles by holding so-called elections in the disputed territory of occupied Jammu and Kashmir after revoking its special status and depriving Kashmiris of their basic political rights.
“India’s actions in IIOJK constitute genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes under international law,” Shah said. “The systematic repression of dissent, demographic changes, and prevention of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination are all egregious violations.”
Shabbir Shah urged the United Nations to implement its resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir and impose sanctions on India for its blatant disregard of international laws. “India cannot suppress the will of the Kashmiri people by violating international laws with impunity,” he emphasized.
