Karra slams BJP for using IIOJK as ‘experimental lab’ for political gambits
Srinagar: Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra has slammed the BJP saying that the the fascist BJP transformed Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) from a thriving tourism hub to an experiment laboratory to testing its nefarious designs.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Karra in a statement has strongly reacted to the claims made by BJP leaders regarding transformation in IIOJK. “While transformation is indeed happening in J&K, it’s not what the BJP claims. Instead, the region has been transformed from a thriving tourism hub to an experiment laboratory,” he said.
“We, on the other hand, took practical and diplomatic steps to restore peace in IIOJK during our tenure until 2014, without treating our citizens like experimental animals or turning our state into a laboratory,” he added.
Karra emphasised that the “Congress government’s efforts yielded tangible results that were felt by the people of J&K”. He urged the BJP to prioritise the state’s interests over party politics and adopt people-friendly policies.
“The BJP should behave responsibly, putting the needs of IIOJK first, rather than exploiting the situation for political gains. The people deserve better than to be used as pawns in their political games,” he said.
