Congress criticizes BJP for failing to deliver in IIOJK
Jammu: The Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has sharply criticized the ruling BJP for its failure to deliver on promises and improve conditions in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a series of meetings in Jammu, Raman Bhalla, the working president of the IIOJK Congress chapter, highlighted the adverse impact of the BJP’s politics of vote bank on various sectors, noting a significant stagnation in development. “The tourism sector is in dire straits, and the industrial sector is struggling,” Bhalla remarked, emphasizing that many locals are losing their jobs while the occupation authorities neglect to implement effective recruitment initiatives.
Bhalla expressed particular concern over the escalating unemployment crisis affecting the youth, who have been misled by the BJP’s assurances of job creation. “Instead of generating employment, we are witnessing a rise in unemployment rates,” he stated, criticizing the Modi government’s inaction regarding unfilled vacancies.
The Congress leader linked the widespread financial distress experienced by IIOJK residents to the BJP’s non-performance, arguing that the government’s failure to address mounting issues has left citizens feeling betrayed. “People are grappling with their daily needs,” he added.
This discontent is further exacerbated by ongoing protests from daily wage workers, teachers, and other groups who are voicing their grievances over inadequate utility services and unmet demands. Bhalla noted, “The general public is suffering due to a lack of governance, resulting in deep-seated frustration among citizens.” He called for accountability and urgent action to address the pressing challenges facing occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
