Helicopter crash claims three lives in Maharashtra, India
Pune, Maharashtra: A helicopter crashed and burst into flames in Pune, Maharashtra, claiming the lives of two pilots and an engineer.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the helicopter, operated by Delhi-based Heritage Aviation, was headed to Juhu in Mumbai from the Oxford County Golf Course helipad when it crashed at 7:40 am near a hilly terrain in Bavdhan, yesterday.
Lok Sabha member and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state president Sunil Tatkare had been scheduled to travel on the same helicopter from Mumbai to Raigad, just a day after flying in it to Parli in Beed district.
The victims have been identified as Girish Kumar, Pritam Singh Bhardwaj, and Paramjeet Singh.
This incident is yet another reminder of India’s struggles with safety and accident prevention. India’s plans often meet with accidents frequently, underscoring the importance of addressing these concerns to prevent such tragedies in the future.
