Protests erupt in Maharashtra on Hindutva seer’s blasphemous remarks

Mumbai: Muslims staged massive protests against the Hindutva BJP/RSS seer Yati Narsinghanand Maharaj for his objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammed (SAW) in Maharashtra state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Ghaziabad-based Hindutva seer Yati Narsinghanand Maharaj in this public speech used objectionable remarks against the Prophet (SAW).

Indian police used brute force and arrested over two dozen Muslim protesters in Amravati area. 21 police personnel were also injured during clash with protesters in Amravati.

Tight security arrangements have been made in the area. After the protests, the Amravati police registered a case.

National Conference leader and member of Indian parliament, Ruhullah Mehdi in in a statement said, “This is the level of intoxication that has plagued a large section in India. His mindless behaviour and speech is the reflection of Islamophobia and Muslim hate in India. I know he won’t be booked or arrested, because this is how BJP wants India to be.”
